The Weekender

Emily Atack has shared photos from her “magical” Spanish second wedding, along with snaps from the after party with celebrity guests including David Tennant and Stanley Tucci.

The Rivals star, 36, married scientist Alistair Garner in an intimate church ceremony in August this year, which the actress previously described as “absolutely perfect”.

The couple, who are parents to son Barney James Garner, headed to Mojacar in Spain last weekend to tie the knot again in a lavish second ceremony with a star-studded guest list.

Atack took to Instagram on Thursday, writing: “I can’t even begin to explain how incredible the last week has been.

“I have so many thank yous to make. For now here’s a peek into our wedding, in our magical place – Mojacar.”

“No queremos irnos nunca,” she added, which translates to “We never want to leave.”

The post featured several snaps of Atack in her wedding gown, which had an off-the-shoulder detail with an extravagant skirt and long train, while her hair was in a wavy updo.

The Inbetweeners actress shared a selection of photos and videos from the big day, including several of herself and her new husband celebrating the occasion with a tower of champagne.

The wedding took place outdoors under the Spanish sun, and Atack also shared a video of her slow dancing with Mr Garner to Phoebe Bridgers’ cover of Friday I’m In Love along with a glimpse at the lively after party.

The celebrity guests included TV presenters Iain Stirling and his wife Laura Whitmore, pictured shielding from the sun under parasol umbrellas, who both commented on the post, praising the event as “the best day”.

Doctor Who star Tennant, who features alongside Atack in Rivals, was also in attendance and posed for photos with fellow star Bella Maclean and the show’s producer and writer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins.

The group were spotted with fellow guests such as Hollywood actor Tucci and his wife Felicity Blunt, who is an executive producer on the TV adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper’s novels, and the sister to actress Emily Blunt.

Rivals actor Alex Hassell was also photographed at the reception, smiling alongside his wife Emma King.

Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas, singer-songwriter Fleur East, TV presenter Ruth Langsford and Rivals actress Victoria Smurfit were among the stars commenting on the post and offering their congratulations.

Atack previously shared an Instagram post revealing she had tied the knot with Mr Garner in August during a ceremony which took place “among close family and friends”.

The actress announced their engagement in July last year, sharing a photo of the couple cuddling, which she captioned, “It’s Friday, I’m in love” alongside three ring emojis.

The couple, who started dating in 2022, welcomed their son in 2024.

Atack stars as Sarah Stratton in the award-winning Disney Plus show Rivals, which follows the high-stakes world of British television against the backdrop of the 1980s Cotswolds countryside.

She rose to fame as a teenager playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners and appeared on reality shows including Dancing On Ice and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

Her mother Kate Robbins rose to fame in the early 1980s, starring in the ITV soap opera Crossroads, and finished third in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the group Prima Donna.
