Negri Sembilan MB, exco to meet Tunku Nadzaruddin tomorrow

SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim and members of the state executive council (exco) are scheduled to meet Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja'afar tomorrow.

According to a media invitation, the meeting, described as a courtesy and familiarisation session, will be held at Galeri Diraja Tuanku Ja'afar here at 9am.

Also expected to attend are the Undang Yang Empat (four ruling chiefs), Tunku Besar Tampin and Datuk Shahbandar Sungei Ujong.

Media have also been invited to cover the meeting.

Last Thursday, several news portals reported a statement issued in the name of the state exco members stating that a proclamation on the selection of Tunku Nadzaruddin under Article 11 of the Laws of the Constitution of Negri Sembilan 1959 (UUTKNS) dated April 19, 2026, had been signed and sealed by the lawful and serving Undang.

The statement said the proclamation had been duly completed in accordance with the UUTKNS 1959.

Ismail had previously confirmed that the state Exco had unanimously decided on the proclamation concerning the position of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan.

He said the decision was reached at an Exco meeting on Sept 15.
