Police search for two suspects after 'targeted' shooting in Hamilton Hill

Translate

WA Police have urged the public to avoid Hamilton Hill, about 23 kilometres south-west of the CBD, and stay indoors after a man was shot at a residence in the area.

Police said they received the report of the incident in Owen Place at 4:35am on Sunday, and St John WA provided emergency first aid to the victim, who has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two males in all-black clothing who were believed to be involved in the shooting are still on the run.

"Significant police resources have been deployed and are conducting a thorough search of the area," police said in a statement.

"Members of the public are asked to stay away from the area.

"Those in the area are advised to lock their doors and windows and remain inside."

Anyone who sees the two males or notices suspicious behaviour is urged not to approach them, but to call police via Triple Zero (000) immediately.
