Albay in-person classes suspended on Sept. 29-30 due to transport strike
LEGAZPI CITY — The Albay provoncial government has ordered the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 29 and 30) due to a two-day transport strike.
Albay Gov. Noel Rosal said all public and private schools must shift to alternative learning modalities for all levels.
Government and private offices were advised to arrange transportation for their employees to ensure continuity of services.

Local government units were also advised to mobilize available resources to provide free rides to stranded commuters in their respective localities.
Earlier, Ramon Rescovilla of the Concerned Drivers and Operators, Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide (Condor-Piston), said the group would stage the two-day transport strike to protest the fuel price hike and call for the abolition of value-added and excise taxes on fuel products.
