Milwaukee Brewers Make Surprise “Weekend Update” Appearance After World Series Win With Returning ‘SNL’ Alum Bobby Moynihan
Coming off their World Series victory, the Milwaukee Brewers showed off their trophy on “Weekend Update” with a Saturday Night Live alum.
The team’s manager Pat Murphy, designated hitter Christian Yelich and second baseman Brice Turang made a surprise appearance on the segment with Bobby Moynihan, who reprised his Drunk Uncle character.
“Hey, I know you. You’re Pete Davidson, right?” Moynihan said to Yelich, as they all admitted to getting drunk since the big win.
On Wednesday, the Brewers celebrated their first World Series title, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5.
In addition to marking Inde Navarrette’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live, this weekend’s episode also served as Gracie Abrams’ musical guest debut.
