Samuel Chukwueze underwent hip surgery in London and, according to reports in Italy, will remain out of action for more than three months.
Milan confirmed on Wednesday that their winger, Chukwueze, underwent hip surgery in London.
Chukwueze surgery: official Milan statement
“AC Milan confirms that Samuel Chukwueze has undergone surgery in London to repair a ruptured tendon of the tensor fasciae latae muscle in his left hip,” the club said in a statement.

“The operation, performed by Professor Ernest Schilders with Dr. Stefano Mazzoni in attendance, was successful. Chukwueze will return to Italy today, where he will begin his rehabilitation.”
Milan have not unveiled the player’s recovery time, but according to several Italian sources, the Nigerian international won’t return to action before three months.
Chukwueze was subbed off during a Serie A match against Atalanta on October 18 and, initially, the Milan medical staff opted for conservative therapy, but after just a few weeks, surgery was required, inevitably increasing the winger’s recovery time.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Chukwueze will be sidelined for at least three months, while other sources, including Gazzetta, are more pessimistic, claiming that coach Ruben Amorim might be forced to cope without the ex-Fulham loanee until springtime.
This means Chukwueze could even remain out of action for up to five months.
Chukwueze returned from a one-season loan spell at Fulham last summer and had quickly become a regular Milan starter under Amorim, providing two assists in eight appearances across all competitions.
