An employee of Parañaque City Hall allegedly tailed a woman driver after she overtook him.

In a report by Dano Tingcungco on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, a viral video showed the woman confronting the male employee. The woman had just come from a convenience store in Don Bosco when the incident occurred.

After she overtook the employee, he tailed her and honked at her incessantly. He also flashed his high beams at her.

Other motorists eventually honked at the employee as he drove against oncoming traffic to catch up with the woman.

But the woman said that she only overtook him because he was driving so slowly.

The city government of Parañaque confirmed that the driver was its employee.

“The employee has been identified and directed to submit a written explanation. The City is investigating the matter to determine whether administrative charges are warranted, in accordance with Civil Service rules and with full respect to due process,” the city government said.

“The City does not tolerate conduct unbecoming of a public servant, on or off duty. Under Republic Act No. 6713, every government employee is expected to act with courtesy, restraint, and respect towards the public at all times,” it added.
