The military announced on Thursday that it killed Muhammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu Al-Shaar in a strike on Gaza City, as well as Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist Musab Abd al-Jalil Saqib Balbisi in a strike on Jabalya.

Abu Al-Shaar was a cell commander in Hamas's military wing, the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades. He infiltrated Kibbutz Be'eri on October 7 and kidnapped Sharon Hertzman-Avigdori, Noam Avigdori, Adi Shoham, Nave Shoham, Yahel Shoham, and Shoshan Haran to the Gaza Strip.
