Juventus got back on track by beating 10-man Napoli 2-0 thanks to a pair of long-range screamers by Kerim Alajbegovic and Jeremie Boga, but Luca Marianucci saw red.
Both teams were locked together on 14 points going into this clash, so desperately in need of a result. The Bianconeri put their squad in a training camp after Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Genoa, losing three of the last four Serie A games, but Nico Gonzalez, Francisco Conceicao, Zeki Celik, Kenan Yildiz, Manuel Locatelli, Khephren Thuram and Kamil Grabara were still sidelined.
The Partenopei were revitalised by a 4-1 win at Monza, but Rasmus Hojlund and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic were ruled out by a virus, with Amir Rrahmani not at 100 per cent, Stanislav Lobotka, Benoit Badiashile, Leonardo Spinazzola, David Neres, Alisson Santos, Costantino Favasuli and Alessandro Buongiorno injured.
See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

Lorenzo Lucca had a rare start and almost marked it with a victory after eight minutes, but his diving header on the Matteo Politano cross was palmed off the line by Guglielmo Vicario in a remarkable save.
Teun Koopmeiners was fortunate to avoid a yellow card for his mistimed tackle on Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, landing on his ankle, but Juventus had appeals of their own.
Juan Cabal’s header from a corner bounced off the frame of the goal, then as the move continued, Cabal collided with Matias Olivera, but the contact seemed to be as the boot came back down.
Both sides wasted good opportunities from 12 yards, as Noa Lang and Alajegovic blasted over the bar, with Bremer doing the same after good work from Alajbegovic to dribble past two.

Deep into first half stoppages, Alajbegovic also drew a tough save out of Alex Meret with his angled drive from 12 yards, as Pierre Kalulu was unable to make the most of the rebound.
There were some big changes over half-time, with Luca Marianucci moving to right-back and Juve seemed to be in a 3-5-2 shape.

Kolo Muani wasted a good counter-attacking situation when over-hitting the past for Alajbegovic, but the Bosnia and Herzegovina talent broke the deadlock with a moment of magic out of nowhere, unleashing a screamer into the top corner from the edge of the area, in off the far post.

Woltemade failed to get on the end of a Koopmeiners pull-back from six yards, but Napoli then went down to 10 men for the second Luca Marianucci yellow card for stepping on Cabal’s foot.
Matias Olivera also limped off with a muscular problem, and Juventus doubled their lead with a not dissimilar goal, this time Jeremie Boga’s right-foot curler into the far bottom corner from outside the box.
