‘Evil Dead Burn’ Gets HBO Max Exclusive Streaming Premiere Date

Evil Dead Burn, Sébastien Vaniček latest contribution to the long-running Evil Dead franchise, will make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on Friday, October 2.

The New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. Pictures chiller will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m. ET, following special showings of Fede Álvarez’s Evil Dead (2013) and Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise (2023).

Released to theaters last July, Evil Dead Burn, directed by Vaniček and written by Vaniček and Florent Bernard, stars Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand and Maude Davey.

The synopsis: “After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites – turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell – she comes to discover that the vows she took in life live on… even in death.”

The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček and written by Sébastien Vaniček and. It is produced by Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi. The executive producers are Bruce Campbell, Romel Adam, Sarah Spurway, Jose Cañas and Lee Cronin.

Following Sam Raimi’s original trilogy, which included The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1993), the franchise was rebooted with Álvarez’s Evil Dead in 2013. Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise steered the movies in a new darker direction, scoring $147M globally. Evil Dead Burn hit U.S. theaters July 10, and next-in-line Evil Dead Wrath from Francis Galluppi is set for 2028.
