Saravanan, family members at MACC to receive asset declaration notice
PUTRAJAYA: Former human resources minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan and several family members arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here today, believed to be to receive asset declaration notices
Saravanan arrived at the MACC headquarters entrance at 9.15am with his wife and two children in two black Toyota Alphard and Vellfire vehicles.
He is facing three charges of allegedly accepting RM1.097 million in bribes four years ago in connection with the approval of an application for 1,000 foreign worker quotas for TYKB Engineering Sdn Bhd.
Saravanan, who is also MIC deputy president, pleaded not guilty to the charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Aug 28.
On Friday, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said he will serve asset declaration notices on Saravanan, his wife and three children.
