Australian GP Moto3 race called off due to low visibility

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Hakim Danish Ramli's Australian Grand Prix Moto3 debut was dashed today after the race was cancelled due to poor visibility at the Phillip Island Circuit.

The Moto2 race was also called off, while the MotoGP event was rescheduled with the pit lane tentatively set to open at 1pm Malaysian time.

Organisers said in a statement that low visibility grounded the medical helicopter, forcing the cancellation of both the Moto3 and Moto2 races on safety grounds.

They added that all on-track action remained suspended ahead of the revised pit lane opening time while waiting for conditions to improve.
