MANILA, Philippines — Visayas and Mindanao may experience rains due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its weather forecast on Wednesday, October 14, PAGASA said that Visayas and Mindanao may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

The state weather bureau warned residents of these areas of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to northeasterly windflow.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may also expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also reported that it is monitoring a tropical depression outside of the Philippine area of responsibility.

The weather system is estimated to be at 2,340 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, as of 3 a.m. on Monday.
