Police hunt masked men after Halloween party stabbing leaves teen hospitalised

Translate

Police have launched a manhunt for a group of masked men after a teenager was stabbed multiple times at a Halloween party in London.

Emergency services were called to a community centre on James Close in Newham at around 7:45pm on Wednesday after reports eight to 10 masked men stormed a Halloween party and stabbed an 18-year-old in the torso and arms in a “violent attack”.

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a stable condition with potentially life-changing injuries, the Metropolitan Police said. Detectives have since launched an attempted murder investigation and are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

No arrests have been made at this time, but police have issued an appeal asking any young people who fled the party when the stabbing happened to speak to officers.

Detective Inspector Sam Lockstone, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are grateful to those who have come forward so far. However, there were a lot of young people at the party who fled when the stabbing happened, and it is really important that they contact police and offer any information they can to help with our enquiries.

“The victim was subject to a violent attack, and we want to know if you have any video footage taken during or after the party or witnessed anything that could help with our investigation. If you don’t want to contact police directly, you can pass information anonymously onto Crimestoppers.”

Police said those with information can contact police via 101, quoting CAD 6525/28OCT26, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
