Bau man missing since Sept 16 found dead trapped between rocks, 500m from farmhouse

KUCHING, Sept 20 — The body of a man who was reported missing from his family’s farm near Kampung Fairy, Bau on September 16, has been found about 500 metres from the farmhouse yesterday.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the victim was found at about 2.50pm, trapped between rocks at a height of about 20 metres.

“Personnel carried out the recovery operation using a stretcher before handing the deceased over to the police for further action,” the department said in a statement.

The victim, identified as Clement Chimiet Conos, had been reported missing from his family’s farm on Wednesday.

Following the discovery and recovery of the victim, the operation was concluded and personnel from the Bau Fire and Rescue Station returned to the station. — The Borneo Post
