PORT KLANG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants more Malaysian-made products to reach international markets through Japanese retailer Daiso's global distribution network.

He said the opening of Daiso's largest global distribution centre in Pulau Indah could create opportunities for Malaysian manufacturers and suppliers to expand their international reach.

"In the longer term, in line with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030, we hope to see more Malaysian-made products on Daiso shelves around the world," he said.

Anwar was speaking at the official opening of Daiso's Global Distribution Centre here today.
