Caraga police seize P448,249 worth of shabu in region-wide sweep

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Seven drug suspects were arrested after police seized nearly half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu in anti-narcotics operations across the Caraga region on Oct. 31.
Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon, Police Regional Office 13 (PRO-13) director, said the operations conducted by city and municipal police units yielded a total of P448,249 worth of illicit drugs.
The biggest haul was seized in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, where local police, backed by regional anti-drug and intelligence personnel, conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of a 45-year-old suspect identified only as “Vinal.” Operatives seized 21 sachets containing about 45.39 grams of suspected shabu valued at P308,652, along with drug paraphernalia.
